South Africa has long been known for their Chenin Blanc. At one point two thirds of the white coming out of this country was Chenin.
Cleef’s Classic Chenin Blanc
Cleef’s comes from the Stellenbosch estate of Kleine Zalze, and named after founder, Nicholas Cleef, who continues that legacy of producing great wine from the Loire based fruit via the Coastal Region of South Africa.
Soft and creamy with tropical fruit, a splash of apple, sugar and peach on the hooter. The palate is a mash of ever interchanging flavours; green peppers, crisp apple, light cloves & nutmeg with a clear citrus finish. Dry with good acidity that soften out towards the end. Good wee summer white.
