Isabel Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
Marlborough-New Zealand.
Grape Variety-Sauvignon Blanc.
13.5% ABV.
Clear pale green colour. Very nice pear notes on the nose backed up with some traditional, earthier herbaceous aromas. On the palate, creamy texture with again pear, citrus and nettles. Well balanced with really good acidity and good length.
One of my customers keeps asking me whether I had tried this wine, after all we brought it in for him. So as a mark of respect for him I finally tasted it. What can I say……Brilliant. This is a superb wine. If you are looking for a Marlborough Sauvignon that offers something a bit different to the norm I’d go for this one. For people who don’t like wines with huge, biting acidity then this is it. And for those that want to experiment and move away from the generic, light style Pinot Grigio’s buy this baby.
Drink on it’s own or with creamy pasta dishes.
