Ca’ Morlin Rosato Spumante Frizzante.
Veneto-Italy.
Grape Variety-Raboso.
11% ABV.
Good, small sized bubbles that float straight and true to the surface. Lovely, dark salmon pink colour with stewed fruit and strawberries on the nose. Soft, elegant bubbles with low acidity. Good length and fruit on the back of the palate.
Works well as an aperitif or with light foods. A real summers day fizz.
I like this wine. It offers what I think good, sparkling, Italian Rose wines should offer. It’s not complicated and it doesn’t bamboozle your palate with over the top flavours. The elegance of the bubbles means it should attract a wide range of drinkers.
If I would have one small criticism of it that would be the price. For me this is more an £8.99 wine. Like I said though, a minor criticism. All in all it delivers.
